Dennis M. Gilliam is the President and Founder of DMGilliam Capital Management.
He started his career in 1994 and spent 15 years in the Wirehouse world and the last 13 years at Merrill Lynch, before leaving to start DMGilliam Capital Management. During this 15-year timeframe, he was a senior financial advisor and assistant vice president and served in several capacities, including financial advisor, producing sales manager, mentor and coach for the corporate training program for newly hired advisors.
Dennis was recognized in the June 30, 2014 Forbes Special Issue as one “of America’s financial leaders who are helping investors brace for change”, as well as in the November 2018 addition of AY All About You Magazine as “The Face of Financial Planning” in Arkansas.
Dennis also served as a member of the Advisory Council of Securities America, Inc. Securities America selected members of the advisory council from its top advisors, and the council members represented a diverse mix of business, geographic regions and experience in the financial services industry. Additionally, he served as a member of the Hanson McClain Retirement Network, a nationwide network of independent financial advisors specializing in retirement planning for union members.
Dennis serves as Co-Director of the Rockstar Passes Collegiate Tennis Challenge, which is a 501(c)(3) organization that hosts an annual collegiate tennis tournament in Little Rock that not only showcases some of the top men’s collegiate talent, but also serves as a fundraiser for non-profit organizations such as St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Goodness Village, the USTA and previously the Ronald McDonald House.
Dennis also serves as a Board Member for Goodness Village, which is a 501(c)(3) medical housing nonprofit in Little Rock serving not only cancer patients, but anyone traveling for medical treatment who needs a place to call home while in Little Rock and is done by providing affordable medical housing.
He is also a member of the Financial Planning Association and Financial Services Institute.
Dennis is married to his high school sweetheart and they have two children and one grandchild. In his pastime, he loves playing tennis or spending time with his family.
